Overview

Welcome to Foster America’s fellowship application page. We are building a pipeline of leaders and cultivating innovation to transform the child welfare system. We invite you to apply.

We search the country for talented professionals who possess critical skills and expertise to make change in child welfare: data and technology, design and marketing, public finance, and strategic planning. We give them the training and tools they need to succeed as 18-month, full-time fellows in public and nonprofit agencies across the country.

Process

Applications for the Foster America fellowship will be accepted on a rolling basis. We are in the final stages of our recruiting season; if you remain interested for January 2019, we encourage you to complete our simple initial application process today. We also continue to seek talent for fellowship opportunities in later 2019.

Selection Criteria

We are looking for results-oriented, mission-driven and innovative professionals to join our next cohort. Foster America fellows are leaders and innovators, driven by a passion to improve the lives of our most vulnerable children. We will identify fellows with a rare combination of brilliance and humility, along with a track record of achievement, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit. The ideal candidate will possess coalition building skills and the ability to get along with diverse groups of people. We are looking for individuals who have the courage to tackle difficult problems, and find inspiration where others see barriers.
